Genre: Action
Extraction is a film that will sit well with aficionados of the Bourne series and fans of Chris Hemsworth in general.
Action-packed from beginning to end with some completely mind-blowing one-on-one fight scenes and chases, this movie is fast-paced, slick and incredibly violent.
The production is so awash with injury detail and fatality that, at times, it almost overtakes the narrative; I think this film must have the highest body count of any movie that I’ve seen in recent years.
Director Sam Hargrave has delivered a high-quality piece of cinema for his feature debut and I expect to see more movies in future with him at the helm.
Chris Hemsworth’s portrayal of the virtually impossible to kill soldier for hire is solid, but I feel that Randeep Hooda’s portrayal of Hemsworth’s nemesis Saju is the stand-out performance of the film.
This is a great action film and I expect it will be richly appreciated by fans of the genre.
