Newcastle-born quintet Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs (Pigsx7) return with their third album, ‘Viscerals.’
Debut album ‘Feed The Rats’ consisted of three tracks, two of which were 45 minutes in total, with the shortest track, ‘Sweet Relief’, the only radio-friendly length single of 4 minutes.
Second album ‘Kings of Cowards’, however, consisted of six tracks – none of which break nine minutes. The band have described track ‘A66’ as their centrepiece and reviews have described this album as better in production than its predecessor.
The band will be supported by fellow Newcastle band Pentecostal Party, a five-piece psychedelic noise-heavy rock band whose music has been described as a mix of stoner, sludge, psych and doom metal.
Pigsx7 will perform their album launch show at Star and Shadow Cinema in Newcastle on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th April.
Tickets, priced at £12.00 in advance, are available from starandshadow.org.uk.
