The “loudest band in New York” become the loudest band in Newcastle on Friday 26th May as A Place To Bury Strangers (APTBS) arrive at the Star and Shadow Cinema with a reputation as one of the most intense and fearsome live shows across any genre.
Having kick-started the shoegaze revival with their self-titled debut LP in 2007 (subsequently named amongst the genres’ all-time best by Pitchfork), APTBS have since released a further five critically acclaimed full-lengths, with their most recent – 2022’s ‘See You Through’ (their first through frontman Oliver Ackermann’s new Dedstrange label) – hailed as some of their best work to date.
Support comes from electronic experimentalist, Camilla Sparksss.
Tickets, priced at £15.00 in advance, are available from starandshadow.org.uk.
