On Sunday 5th July, Stages School of Dance and Performing Arts presents ‘Revolution’, a spectacular celebration of power, progress and possibility at Northern Stage’s Stage 1.
It is a show that wears its heart firmly on its sleeve, declaring ambition in every movement through a blend of electrifying choreography and bold, expressive storytelling.
‘Revolution’ explores the revolutions that have shaped our world, from historic movements to deeply personal breakthroughs. It is a production about voices that refuse to be silenced, and about the courage required to create change.
For the dancers of Stages School of Dance and Performing Arts, founded in 1984 and built on an ethos of promoting confidence, strength, discipline and grace, this performance captures those values with clarity and conviction. It also marks the culmination of an extraordinary two-year journey of growth and transformation, standing as a testament to how far the performers have come and the barriers they have broken along the way.
The school itself has long been recognised across the North East for nurturing young talent and providing a disciplined yet creative environment in which dancers can develop both technically and artistically. ‘Revolution’ reflects that philosophy, bringing together students of varying ages and experience in a production that emphasises unity, resilience and artistic expression.
With two performances on the day, at 2:00pm and 6:30pm, audiences have double the opportunity to experience what promises to be a memorable showcase of expressive and impactful dance.
Tickets, priced from £20.00 in advance, are available at northernstage.co.uk.
