North East singer-songwriter, Jen Dixon, writes, records and produces her own original music.
She is known for her thought-provoking songs that talk of the turbulent world of love. And her latest release, ‘Why Did We Crash?’, does just that.
A slow, melancholy, piano-led ballad flows along as Jen gently sings about the end of a relationship, asking: “Why did we crash? And why did we burn?” A deep soul searching for some calm in her mind and heart, the track is not too dissimilar to that of ‘Everything But the Girl’.
In the last couple of years, Jen has come into her own, singing and playing the guitar around Teesside and beyond. She has recorded at Abbey Road Studios, performed at Green Man festival and supported Christopher Owens on his UK tour – and this new single showcases her newfound confidence and signature style.
‘Why Did We Crash?’ is out now and is available on all major online streaming platforms.
