May I have your attention, please, as we bring you this important announcement: wildly original, idiosyncratic post-punk ensemble Silk Road are graciously offering up their firstborn album, ‘No Funeral’.
Inspired by Talking Heads, King Crimson and Swans, the group comprises Newcastle noisemakers Luke Enguita (vocals and guitar), Aiden Mitchell (bass), Sammy Ramadan (guitar), Mikey Mancini (drums) and Harry Peterson (guitar and keys).
The album unleashes a musical maelstrom of krautrock, ‘70s prog and post-punk. Silk Road modestly describe it as “the greatest album to ever exist”.
Go and give it a listen immediately on all major streaming platforms.
Warning: contains frantic jazz.
