Get ready, music fans! Stockton Calling, the Tees Valley’s longest-running multi-venue music festival, is set to return for its 14th edition next year. Taking place every Easter Saturday since 2010, it has become the longest-running event of its kind in the North East, attracting music lovers to Stockton town centre and boosting trade across local pubs, restaurants, and food outlets.
Last year’s festival featured performances from The Zutons, Corrella, Seb Lowe, and Get Down Services, alongside an incredible line-up of local and regional acts.
Organisers of the 2025 festival have gone all out to secure an impressive headliner. Maximo Park will take the stage at ARC, bringing their frontman, Billingham’s own Paul Smith, back for a rare homecoming gig.
Festival co-programmer Chris Cobain of Tees Music Alliance is already looking forward to next year’s event: “It’s almost a year-round process to program Stockton Calling, and we’ve been working hard over the summer months to land a big name to kick off our 2025 announcements. Bringing a band of Maximo Park’s calibre to the festival is a real coup -they’ve got a hatful of hits, and we know they’ll put on a blistering show.”
He adds: “We’re incredibly grateful to the hundreds of regular Stockton Calling fans who turn up each year. In recognition of that, we’ve kept ticket prices the same as for 2024 – despite rising costs for putting on events.”
Fellow co-programmer Jimmy Beck of KU agrees: “The Stockton Calling team has been bursting with excitement about booking Maximo Park – it’s great to finally spill the beans. This is an amazing booking for so many reasons. As usual, we’re already receiving calls and emails from artists eager to perform in 2025, and we expect to face some tough decisions about who to offer slots to. Once those all-important headliners are confirmed, the rest of the line-up quickly falls into place, and that’s when we see the excitement building from our amazing fanbase.”
Stockton Calling is co-promoted by Tees Music Alliance, ARC, and KU Promotions, featuring stages across various venues in the town centre and showcasing a diverse array of bands performing from early afternoon onwards.
Tickets for 2025 are now available at stocktoncalling.co.uk, priced the same as last year at £40.00 for the full day, including all booking fees.
