This Is The Kit is the stage name of imaginative singer-songwriter Kate Stables and her accompanying band. Together, they weave hypnotic folk-rock with jagged, prog-inspired rhythms, intricately layered beneath lyrics that are haunting, hopeful and just a little heartbreaking.
A favourite of BBC Radio 6 Music, Kate began her musical journey as a teenager, performing at open mic nights in her hometown of Winchester. Her best-known release, ‘Bashed Out’, helped introduce her music to a wider audience through appearances on several television programmes.
