A masterfully crafted track, ‘Twisted Form of Romance’ is not the song I might have expected upon first encounter. Mixing heavier instrumentals with melodic lyrics, while still retaining an indie feel, at times you’d be forgiven for thinking you were listening to some obscure Muse B-side. The talent that emanates from this piece is clear – this is a band who know how to not only play but perfect their instruments, delivering a track I wish I had on Guitar Hero back in the day!
At over six minutes in length, it never feels as though it has overstayed its welcome. Like ‘Knights of Cydonia’ before it, you go along with the track without ever feeling the need to check your watch. An emotionally heavy song, the lyrics address the subject of abuse within relationships, and it’s definitely something that will leave you thinking.
As well as the single’s release on Friday 13th December, End Credits will be headlining KU in Stockton that night, supported by Provenance, Sugar Roulette, and Dossers.
You can listen to the release from Friday 13th December on all major streaming platforms.
