The best way to describe Michael CG’s music is if Jack White and The Libertines took a time machine to the 70s and gate-crashed an avant-garde glam rock party.
Instrumentally, he is a genius in the making, with some great guitar licks that are not overpowering or pretentious but cheeky and snappy. I can’t fault his voice too, with his great range that is quirky and fits perfectly with his unique sound.
The EP’s artwork also has a cool retro feeling that compliments his sound.
Considering that the EP has been created in his room it makes the release even more impressive.
Overall, if you love alternative pop/rock music then this is for you. This pop alternative glam rock EP needs to get the recognition that it truly deserves, so downloaded it and await with anticipation for part 2.
