Middlesbrough’s very own indie-rock trio, Whale Hill, are back with latest single, ‘Vertigo’.
Released in June, ‘Vertigo’ shows off Whale Hill’s more alt-punk side – a truly invigorating three and a half minutes that’s laden with delightful vocals and ravenous guitar hooks.
Emitting an old school Green Day vibe, the track presents a rather infectious bassline that runs from start to finish; pleasantly intertwined with a racing drum beat, the track is beautifully textured.
Reece Mallett’s vocals are endearingly lulling and smooth; a delightful contrast to the exhilarating pace of the musical elements behind him.
Short but sweet, ‘Vertigo’ is an addictive, all-round highly listenable piece that I can almost guarantee you’d enjoy on repeat.
This single follows on from previous release ‘Broken Rose’ which they brought out back in November.
With only three tracks released so far, it’s safe to say we should all be excited for what Whale Hill are going to bring to the table next.
