Promotion and management’s new kids on the block, OniX Music has been making waves in the North East creative community as of late. With a solid background in touring, management, booking, and broadcasting, the company are looking to develop and take strong local talent out of the region, while bringing UK and international talent to the North East.
OniX is finally going public; with their first full show taking place at The Cluny 2 on Friday 1st September. Consisting of three headliner-worthy bands, it’s an example of the quality we can expect from future OniX Music bills.
Phase, an established European prog post-punk band with two albums under their belt, have a dedicated global following. Indie synth-pop trio Twist Helix is climbing the charts in North America, Europe and the UK with their new single ‘Little Buildings’, and The Pastures are four local lads who’ve built a loyal following in the North East with their infectious folk/ska punk sound.
If you’ve seen any of these bands at the O2 Academy, Cluny, Riverside or even more intimate settings like Tynemouth’s Surf Café or Ouseburn’s Little Buildings, you know all of this to be true.
Cluny 2 has also added a new light array, desk, and projection system, so get yourselves down early for the full experience.
Our thriving new music community can only benefit from the presence of such people who are dedicated to supporting original artists and the venues which serve a dynamic, constantly evolving scene. You can find OniX Music on Facebook, Twitter (@OniXMusicUK), on the web (OniX-Music.com) or send your demo to [email protected].
Tickets for this one are priced at £5.00 in advance from seetickets.com or are £7.50 OTD.
