Gothic grunge and riot grrrl attitude are heading to Newcastle this October as Venus Grrrls bring their dark, distinctive sound to The Cluny 2 on Thursday 29th October.
The Leeds/Newcastle five-piece have built a reputation for combining big riffs, synth-driven sounds and powerful vocals, creating something atmospheric and seriously catchy. With influences ranging from Bikini Kill to Siouxsie and the Banshees, they’ve carved out a sound that is very much their own, while earning support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and Radio X.
If you like your alternative rock with a darker edge, this should be well worth checking out.
Tickets, priced at £14.00 in advance, are available at thecluny.com.
