Comedy fans have a brilliant night of entertainment to look forward to when Catch 22 Comedy Club returns to the impressive ARC in Stockton on Friday 28th August. Now in its 20th year, the popular monthly event has built a reputation for showcasing outstanding stand-up talent in a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
Opening the evening is Tom Taylor, a musical comedian renowned for his clever, offbeat songs and razor-sharp one-liners. He has performed across the UK and supported leading comedians including John Bishop and Jason Manford.
Also appearing is Bradford comedian Bobby Jethro, whose unique style and self-deprecating humour have earned him victories in two major comedy competitions. His distinctive stage presence and inventive material have made him a rising name on the comedy circuit.
Headlining the evening is Laura Lexx, one of Britain’s most accomplished stand-up comedians. She has headlined clubs across the UK, Europe, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and is celebrated for her quick wit, fearless audience interaction and brilliantly sharp observations. Lexx has also supported some of the biggest names in comedy, including Tim Vine.
Hosting the evening is Catch 22 favourite Freddy Quinne, whose uncompromising style, dark humour and razor-edged punchlines make him the perfect master of ceremonies.
Strictly for ages 18 and over, this promises an evening packed with everything from daft musical comedy to topical observations and fearless stand-up, offering something for every comedy fan.
