Jimeoin’s name may not be immediately familiar to you but he has a wealth of experience and a reputation that has taken him onto TV’s in living rooms across two continents.
From his beginnings on the stand-up circuit in Australia and New Zealand, Jimeoin’s career quickly moved into Australian film and television. His TV show ‘Full Frontal’ and feature films ‘The Craic’ and ‘The Extra’ brought him to the attention of the British comedy circuit and led to appearances on Live at the Apollo, 8 out of 10 Cats and Sunday Night at the London Palladium amongst others.
Having grown up in both England and Ireland, he is very much in tune with our sense of humour, even though his comedy roots have a boisterous Australian foundation.
His observational comedy looks at the absurdities of daily life with a sharpness and flair that is as appealing as it is engaging.
He is renowned for developing excellent audience rapport in his shows which makes him stand out from the crowd, and his internationally universal view on the world has seen him wow audiences from Melbourne to New York and, of course, at the legendary Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
On a recent performance in Manchester, Manchester Evening News had this to say of the evening: “He didn’t leave a dry eye in the house – revealing a comedian at the top of his game”.
Jimeoin performs at Middlesbrough Town Hall on Saturday 26th October. Tickets, priced at £18.50 in advance, are available from middlesbroughtownhall.co.uk.
