After the monumental success of his Gallivanting tour, Kai Humphries returns to delight North East audiences on Wednesday 9th July.
If you haven’t caught one of his headlining shows, comedy fans may still recognise Kai from supporting the likes of Jim Jefferies, Steve-O and Rhod Gilbert. He’s performed across the globe but remains proudly northern, delivering a brand of comedy that is as relatable as it is unique.
Never one to do just one thing at a time, Kai is also unleashing Kibosh at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
In a real-life case of “we’re so funny, we should be comedians,” Kai is also the best friend of fellow stand-up Daniel Sloss – though that relationship was put to the test when Kai released Inside Daniel Sloss: Psychoanalysis of Daniel Sloss: Tour Journal 2014. Let’s just say, it’s not your average friendship memoir.
Expect belly laughs and bizarre tales as Kai’s stand-up veers from cheeky and clever to brilliantly weird. His storytelling is both heartfelt and hilarious, promising a night packed with personality and punchlines.
Tickets, priced from £13.50 in advance, are available at darlingtonhippodrome.co.uk.
