Before the pair set foot in Edinburgh the following week, Tom Stade and Gareth Mutch will be performing their highly-anticipated latest material in Darlington.
Canadian Tom has lived in the UK for the past 20 years and instantly made a significant impact on the comedy circuit upon his arrival. Praised for his captivating stage presence and strong skill as a storyteller, he regularly performs at the Edinburgh Fringe and has had various TV appearances on stand-up programmes throughout the years. Tom’s latest material, ‘Risky Business’, focuses on navigating the tightrope of today’s times while staying true to who you are.
And opener, Gareth Mutch, is a regular in the ‘Best of Scottish’ and ‘Best of the Fest’ awards at the Edinburgh Fringe; after touring the country, he has become popular due to his endearing and candid approach to his material. His ‘Modern Man’ skit takes a look at what it means to be a man today while feeling like you’re not living up to its expectations.
