Saturday 7th May sees three great talents come together as Matt Bragg, Harry Garrison and Pete Otway take to the stage in Darlington for what is certain to be a laugh-a-minute show.
Having a father who was a television warm-up man, in the form of Bobby Bragg, there was always potential for Matt Bragg to follow in his father’s footsteps and step into the world of entertainment – and he did just that and more.
Matt has performed in some of the UK’s largest clubs and has supported the likes of Harry Hill and Soccer AM’s Lloyd Griffith. He has also received various accolades and acclaim including being selected for Just The Tonic’s Big Value showcase at Edinburgh Festival in 2019; he was also recently a runner up in the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2020. He has also been a finalist and a winner of the Manford New Act of the Year and Bury Met New Act of the Year.
Bragg has been performing across the country for over five years and has become a hit with comedians, promoters and audiences alike thanks to his deadpan and ‘low energy’ style combined with his meticulously crafted content.
Also performing will be Glasgow comedian, Harry Garrison. Although Garrison makes his way onto the stage with his guitar and a seemingly innocent demeanour, his set has a somewhat dark comedy element that will have jaws dropping. He has an honest, charming, and oddball-like approach to life and speaks about sensitive topics that will have you switching from swooning to shocked and then into a fit of laughter.
Pete Otway, the host for the evening, has been performing on the comedy circuit since 2010, very quickly gaining momentum on the scene as he began to establish himself as a hilariously strong act. He has an ever-growing fan base and has developed his craft as a comedic act and as an MC. With a commanding stage presence, an engaging stage manner, and an affable and conversational style of comedy, Otway is the perfect host for the evening’s proceedings.
