After its 2024 sell-out tour, Do I Love You? comes to Gala Durham on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th April.
The comedy tells the story of twenty-somethings Sally, Nat, and Kyle as they develop a love for Northern Soul and the people involved in it.
What begins as a college project grows into a passion, even if the dance steps are exhausting. The trio finds the excitement, purpose, and like-minded people they have been searching for beyond the confines of their hometown of Hull. From Brid Spa to Stoke, from Durham to the Tower Ballroom, our young soulies can’t get enough and are determined to keep the faith.
This is Northern Soul for a new generation, but with rising costs, unemployment, and small-town blues, has anything really changed? Is this England 1973 or 2023? The pubs are closing, hospitality has gone, and strikes are everywhere; but when you’re out on the floor…
