After a socially distanced festival in 2021, MUNRO is back to full capacity this year and will be held at The Georgian Theatre and The Green Room in Stockton. Organiser, Adam Gallagher, has also revealed that this year’s headliners are none other than Red Rum Club.
The Liverpool band will be heading to Stockton on the back of the successful release of their third album, ‘How To Steal The World’. In recent years, they have performed at many festivals, including Glastonbury, YNOT, Isle of Wight and Tramlines and Stockton’s very own Gathering Sounds. Along the way, Red Rum Club have also supported artists such as the 1975 and Miles Kane.
Red Rum Club are the first announcement of this year’s MUNRO festival in an event that will showcase 14 varied artists throughout the day, ranging from some of the hottest up and coming artists across the North East to a selection of talent from across the rest of the UK.
In previous years, the festival has hosted the likes of The Lottery Winners and The K’s, along with Club Paradise, Plastic Glass, Komparrison and more.
Adam added: “We are still encouraging ticket buyers to be safe when it comes to their health and others. We are working with the venues to make sure that we are doing everything we possibly can to make each individual safe whilst at the festival.”
Tickets, priced at £18.00 in advance, are available from fatsoma.com. Doors open at 14:00.
