This year’s Pillar Artists’ birthday gig will kick off on Friday 7th February at Cobalt Studios, a venue that is well known for hosting and nurturing up-and-coming artists.
First on the bill is Jumanji, a Brighton-based five-piece that have appeared on BBC Radio 1 and ITV’s This Morning, that will deliver their take on tropical pop and indie-rock.
Also making an appearance will be the mesmerising alternative art-pop of The Pylons. This band first formed in 2013 and since then has been on the BBC Introducing stages at YNOT Festival in 2014 and Glastonbury in 2016.
Finally, Newcastle indie-rock trio Cat Ryan will be taking to the stage. Although they formed just a short while ago, they are quickly gaining traction and have already been featured on BBC Radio 6. Their fresh and arty upbeat melodies have been likened to Blondie and Vampire Weekend, and they are certainly not a band to be missed.
Tickets, priced at £4.00 in advance, are available from cobaltstudios.co.uk.
