Singer-songwriter and Dodgy founder, Nigel Clark, is heading to The Halt in Redcar on Thursday 16th May as part of the pub’s ‘Indiego Sessions’.
The Worcestershire-born songsmith looks back on a long career with 9 UK top 40 hits including ‘Good Enough’, ‘If You’re Thinking of Me’, ‘In A Room’ and many more.
In 1995, it was almost impossible to escape Dodgy’s undeniably catchy ‘Staying Out for the Summer’ – some might even say they made guitar-based pop popular again.
And when Nigel returned in 2006 with a solo album, songs like ‘Don’t Give Up’ and ‘21st Century Man’ spoke of exemplary guitar work and disarming vocals. Now, 13 years later, he is back on the road performing all the hits from Dodgy plus solo material in an intimate acoustic set.
Tickets, priced at £13.00 in advance, are available from the venue.
