Lost Lot are an alt-country band from the North East whose self titled EP is a must-listen.
The EP is a compilation of deep, ambient tracks all echoing the sounds of their inspirations such as Springsteen, Wilco and The Milk Carton Kids.
First track, ‘Coffee Way’, opens with a mellow, acoustic guitar paired with beautiful soulful lyrics that set the tone for the rest of the EP.
It’s followed by ‘Only You’, another soft ballad that portrays a picture of tender love.
‘We Built A House’, the third track on the EP, is another romantic track that is extremely well written and reminds me massively of American country band, The Wandering Hearts.
The fourth track is ‘Someone Who Loved You’, the strongest song lyrically, and features one of the best lines from the EP: “I wonder where you are now if you stayed the same”.
Finally ending with ‘Ghost’, a heartbreaking song, it’s a moving and a lovely way to round off this fabulous EP.
