Comedy fans are in for a treat as a host of talented stand-ups will kick off the summer in style as part of the latest Catch 22 Comedy Club.
MC for the rip-roaring talent-packed evening will be none other than the hilariously warm and energetic Aaron Twitchen who has been making quite the name for himself in recent years on the live comedy circuit despite his background in acting and as a trained circus performer.
The Birmingham-based stand-up has quickly gained a reputation as a reliable and likeable act since his successful first solo tour, Quarter Life Crisis, back in 2012, as well as a popular stint at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival with his most recent tour, Can’t Stop The Rainbow, going down a storm.
Joining Twitchen on the line-up will be one of the most well respected and best loved stand-ups on the British comedy circuit, David Johns. The multi-award winning film actor, accomplished stage actor and improviser, who has appeared in West End stage shows, is best known for his role in the film I, Daniel Blake. Since the film, the Wallsend comedian has gone on to appear on shows including Never Mind the Buzzcocks and 8 Out of 10 Cats.
The line-up will also feature up-and-coming Scouse comedian Jon Capewell who is rapidly making his way up the comedy ladder with his charmingly hilarious and relatable humour.
Completing the evening’s line-up as the headline act will be hilarious Northampton-born raconteur, Andrew Bird. Having performed all over the globe, Andrew is one of the only comedians to have ever performed for Banksy at Dismaland. Over the course of his career, he has also provided tour support for comedy peers Rhod Gilbert, Rob Brydon and Michael McIntrye at venues including Wembley and the O2. He has also collaborated with other big names through his writing including working on Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Warrior on Dave, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown on Channel 4 and Lee Mack’s Duck Quacks Don’t Echo on Sky.
Catch 22 presents Aaron Twitchen, Dave Johns, Jon Capewell and Andrew Bird at ARC in Stockton on Friday 29th July.
Tickets, priced from £14.00 in advance, are available at arconline.co.uk.
