A selection of talented stand-up comedians will take to the stage at ARC in Stockton later this month as part of the latest Catch 22 Comedy Club show.
Presiding over the evening’s side-splitting antics will be Manchester funnyman and MC Mike Wilkinson who has fast become one of Catch 22’s firm favourites and must-see acts, coming leaps and bounds since first starting out on the road to the stage through So You Think You’re Funny?.
Over the past seven years, Mike has gone on to perform on solo tours up and down the country as well as having supported some of his big-name peers including the likes of Peter Kay, Ross Noble and Johnny Vegas. Known for his laid-back style onstage, Mike truly is one to watch, especially when it comes to dealing with those pesky hecklers.
Joining him on the line-up will be Kenyan-born, London-based comic Njambi McGrath who has fast become a familiar face on the live comedy circuit as well as at comedy festivals across the UK. Having racked up an impressive five solo hour performances at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival, her most recent performance, titled ‘Breaking Black’, was picked up by Next Up Comedy, Amazon and Apple as well as being released as her debut comedy special.
Another act due to appear on the line-up is Mike Carter. The North West-based comic first started out on the circuit back in 2015 and has become well known for his combination of classic Scouse whit and contemporary observations of post-University life and pop culture, which has worked in his favour when winning audiences over.
Completing the line-up will be Canadian rising star Allyson June Smith who has been commanding the stage since 2000 after swapping her paintbrush for the mic. Since then, she has performed a string of sell-out shows, showcasing her unique dynamite brand of material and has provided support for peers such as Katherine Ryan, Stewart Francis, Jason Manford, John Bishop and Stephen Merchant.
Catch 22 with MC Mike Wilkinson, Mike Carter, Njambi McGrath and Allyson June Smith will take place at ARC in Stockton on Friday 24th June.
Tickets, priced from £14.00 in advance, are available at arcononline.co.uk.
