After a brief duration of rest, Musiclounge in Stockton will be continuing its hosting of the Shoe Cake Comedy Club this July as the renowned club returns to showcase its comedic legacy, allowing up-and-coming comedians to test their skills and providing attendees with a night full of laughter.
The decision has been made internally to redesign the entire dynamic of their ‘First Thursday of the month’ routine as Shoe Cake will now be encouraging established comedy acts to make their appearance each month – this will include the established acts playing both regurgitated remainders of old material as well as entirely new material.
This July’s showing will feature Warrington’s acclaimed funniest MC, Barry Heap, to guest host the show, and Lukas Kirkby, known as one of Manchester’s wittiest comedian due to his clever song parodies and sharp puns, will end the night – with more acts still to be announced at the time of writing.
“Shoe Cake states that it will be providing a tremendous line-up of laughter”
Throughout the evening, a plethora of comedians will take residence in Musiclounge in Stockton, with names such as AJ Hill, Andrew Flood, Stephen Armstrong, Chris McGlade and even more to be announced in due course. These acts will be consistent with the themes of improvisation and stand-up comedy, not to forget potential parodies to take place too.
Shoe Cake states that it will be providing a tremendous line-up of laughter and, for those who enjoy a fizzy, alcoholic beverage, a free glass of Prosecco upon arrival.
Tickets are available for £3.00 online by heading to connect.jokepit.com or they will be available on the night (if there are any tickets left) for £5.00.
This Shoe Cake Comedy Club takes place on Thursday 5th July and has an 18+ age restriction. Doors open at 19:00, the first act will be on stage at 20:00, and the night is expected to finish up at approximately 22:30.
