A tale of the underworld brought vividly to life through lyrical storytelling and a chilling live score – electronic, pulsating, and full of urgency – Oran follows one man’s desperate attempt to rescue his friend from Hades.
After earning critical acclaim at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, this thrilling reimagining of the classic myth of Orpheus is now making its way to Newcastle’s Live Theatre.
Oran is a powerful collaboration between Wonder Fools – a Glasgow-based theatre company known for socially engaged work with communities – and Owen Sutcliffe, an acclaimed hip-hop artist and writer celebrated for his award-winning, high-energy storytelling.
Described as an “electronic one-man tour de force”, the show offers a bold, contemporary take on a timeless myth, blending hip-hop-infused poetry with a haunting live soundtrack to deliver an unforgettable experience.
Oran is showing for one day only, on Tuesday 14th October, with performances at 2:00pm and 7:00pm.
Don’t miss this innovative, electrifying piece of modern theatre.
