Quirky odd-pop band Head of Light Entertainment (HOLE) head to Bobiks in Newcastle this month in what is certain to be an eventful evening of frivolity.
Initially started as a solo project by the band’s songwriter Carl, HOLE rose quickly through the ranks of the local music scene and released three very well-received albums.
The Teesside outfit, who somehow blend together American ‘80s cool (Talking Heads, Devo) with Roxy Music, is not a band afraid of taking risks – and this helps them to stand out from the crowd.
Showcasing latest single ‘Bravado for The Gauche’ and a batch of exciting new material, the intimate setting of Bobiks is the perfect venue to get up close and personal with a band that thrives on audience participation.
Head of Light Entertainment head to Bobiks, Newcastle on Sunday 1st September. Tickets, priced at £5.00, are available from bobiks.com.
