On Friday 3rd April, Arborist take to The Engine Room in North Shields with a set expected to balance soaring melody against darker undercurrents.
Arborist’s stunning hooks are paired with lush, sometimes unexpected arrangements, while the interplay of guitar, rhythm and lyric gives their sound an experimental, slightly dangerous edge. There’s beauty here, accompanied by beautiful tension.
With a new album due later this year, already praised for marrying bleakness and uplift, this feels like craft being sharpened in real time.
