The Low Line bring their rich blend of Appalachian folk traditions to The Globe this month.
Formed by Afra Jurkiewicz and Joe Mansfield, the duo combine viola, banjo and immaculate vocal harmonies to reimagine traditional bluegrass ballads and old-time country songs with warmth and authenticity.
Afra, a multi-instrumentalist based in the Welsh Borders, provides intricate banjo work, while Bristol musician Joe Mansfield – also known for Joe Mansfield & the Temperance Two – brings rich viola arrangements and vocals.
Support comes from local bluegrass duo What Humans Do.
Tickets, priced at £14.00 in advance, are available at theglobenewcastle.bar.
