North East folk group The Pitmen Poets return to the region this summer with performances at The Glasshouse in Gateshead and Gala Durham as part of their latest run of live dates.
The group features Jez Lowe, Bob Fox, and Billy Mitchell, all of whom are closely associated with the North East folk tradition and its focus on mining communities and working-class life.
Their performances combine original and traditional material with spoken storytelling, drawing heavily on lived experience, regional history, and humour rooted in North East identity.
The Glasshouse performance will take place on Sunday 28th June, with their Gala Durham gig taking place on Saturday 11th July.
