Hartlepool singer-songwriter Michael Gallagher returns with anthemic third single, ‘Call My Name’.
The release comes fresh after previous single ‘Lula’, a semi-serious song about the novelty of a one-night stand. This time around, Gallagher tackles a more sombre issue: the gradual deterioration of a relationship between two people that ultimately ends in separation.
The subject matter may be less jovial but that doesn’t mean Gallagher’s ability to draw listeners in is any less effective.
His staple pop-rock fusion is back for his latest track and remains as beguiling as ever; though Gallagher dons his anthemic rock ‘n’ roll star persona more than ever in ‘Call My Name’.
The chorus, where Gallagher belts out the song’s title, is destined for crowd-pleaser status at his live shows.
The more you hear of Gallagher, the greater the heights you foresee him reaching.
‘Call My Name’ is available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music now.
