The Monocle is the latest exhilarating creation from Rendez-Vous Dance who create projects that tell past and present stories of LGBTQIA+ communities.
The Monocle, inspired by the secretly notorious 1930s Parisian lesbian club Le Monocle, will be performed by six outstanding dancers.
Conceived as a fun night out, The Monocle will re-shape traditional theatre settings into a club where audiences can participate in a highly creative evening, mixing dance and live music.
Enjoy an evening full of ambience, secrets and sensuality whilst women drink and dance the night away in each other’s arms.
Programmers, Rendez-Vous Dance, are led by award-winning choreographer Mathieu Geffre who established the company following a fifteen-year career as a performer. Mathieu has collaborated with some of the most celebrated artists in the world including Itzik Galili, Christopher Bruce, Didy Veldman, Angelin Preljocaj and Johann Inger.
This is a production you really don’t want to miss when it heads to the all-new Firestation in Sunderland on Saturday 19th February.
