Lo-fi indie troubadour James Leonard Hewitson released his latest single ‘Fill My Head With Sugar’ in April and it represented an admirable growth for the burgeoning “slacker rocker”.
Building upon his formula as a slightly less chaotic, North Eastern answer to Jay Reatard, his newest track sees him weave surf-rock influences into his tapestry whilst maintaining the same anti-folk and power-pop vibes as usual.
Thursday 6th July sees him perform with his full backing band in tow at The Engine Room in North Shields, with support coming from fellow lo-fi indie artist Kevin Heartbreak.
