As we’re currently in talks to sell our own NE Volume Music Bar in Stockton, we haven’t organised as many gigs in advance as we normally would. That said, we do have four exciting shows lined up for this March, and we’re continuing to post any updates on our social media pages as plans develop.
We kick things off on Thursday 5th March with a rock night that brings together a strong mix of local talent. DarkRoom, Richie Harrison & Band, Brass Eyed Dragons and Jam Buddies will all take to the stage in what promises to be a loud, energetic evening and a great way to start the month.
On Friday 6th March, we host a special album launch from singer-songwriter Amz. The night will feature an eclectic line-up of MCs, DJs, bands and indie artists, reflecting the diversity of our local scene. Joining the bill are Rice, Average Joe, The Regency, Fin Hudson, NickyBethC, Lewis Robson, Reuben, 90Bro, Donny and Reece Hanrahan. We’re proud to provide a platform for so many different styles and performers under one roof, and this event is set to be a real celebration of new music.
Saturday 7th March sees indie outfit Cascara return to our stage – and this time, they headline. They’ll be supported by Stockton indie outfit the Jake Diaz Band and newcomer Reece Malcolm. We’re always pleased to welcome back familiar faces while also introducing emerging artists to our audience, and this line-up strikes that balance perfectly.
We round off the current March schedule on Saturday 14th with a very special show from Billy Lunn and Camille Phillips of The Subways. Performing in their “Loud and Unplugged” format, expect to hear a mix of your favourites, such as ‘Rock & Roll Queen’ and ‘Oh Yeah’, besides covers of some of Billy and Camille’s heroes. Support on the night comes from powerful vocalist Nic Wood (Tired of Fighting), making it a fitting finale to our planned events for the month.
While the future of the venue is still being discussed, we remain committed to delivering quality live music for as long as we can. We encourage everyone to come down, support the acts, and be part of what promises to be a memorable March at NE Volume.
