It’s Christmasssss! And we have a whole host of cosy, intimate gigs lined up for you at our base in the heart of Stockton over the next few weeks.
We begin the festive season with another fascinating NE-Thing Goes mixed-genres night on Thursday 4th December. This one features doom-rock band Brass Eyed Dragons, hard-rock outfit Jymmy Pynball and The Stuntmen, folk duo Mills & Farrell, and dance-pop soloist Marq Electronica.
On Friday 5th December, we host a festive Christmas by Candlelight event featuring talented North East singer-songwriters Pheobe Elissa, Liam Trewick, and Freddie Morrison. We then end the week on Saturday 6th with the very welcome return of young alt-indie outfit Memoria, with support from newcomers Phantom Step and indie soloist Aidan Feners.
We’re fully in the festive spirit here at NE Volume, so we wanted to give Phantom Step another opportunity on Thursday 11th December – but this time, they’ll be headlining. Support comes from brand-new rock bands Glass, Vennels, and Slow Filter, all making their NE Volume debuts.
On Friday 12th December, indie-pop outfit The 1202 make their welcome return, having not played on Teesside since July, with support from alt-rock bands EMU and Falchion.
Expect catchy indie hooks on Thursday 18th December as Jim Soler takes the headline slot, with support from Teesside outfit Rose Malus’ Dylan Ribeiro and Joel Harrison, who will both be performing solo sets.
On Friday 19th December, chamber-rock band Stingray step up from their usual support slots to headline for the first time. They’ll be joined by grunge outfit Mr Bigfoot and indie-rock singer-songwriter Fin Hudson.
And on Saturday 20th December, we host a very special festive gig as Memoria, Indigo, and Cause of Concern get you into the Christmas spirit with a mix of seasonal tunes and their own rock tracks.
Other notable highlights this month include our annual Boxing Day Special, featuring pop-rap artist SHDE, indie singer-songwriter James Witham and rap artist WSG. We also host indie outfit Corduroy Boy on Saturday 27th December.
