From atmospheric folk to electrifying rock, we have yet another jam-packed gig schedule to keep you entertained throughout this spooky season at NE Volume Music Bar in Stockton.
Our ethos has always been to support up-and-coming artists from across the region, and once again we have pulled together a superb line-up that showcases a wide variety of talent this autumn.
We kick things off on Thursday 2nd October with another NE-Thing Goes mixed-genre night, this time featuring neo-punk band Specky Cult, indie artist Luke Witham, pop soloist Willow Bulmer, and alt-punk duo Unwritten.
On Friday 3rd October, we welcome back high-energy, adrenaline-fuelled indie outfit Cavello, supported by indie newcomers Stingray and pop soloist Lottie Turner, who makes her NE Volume debut.
Saturday 4th October brings two very different shows: an afternoon slot with rap artist Kingsley Powers, celebrating the release of his new album, followed by a relaxed evening of Teesside-based indie-pop from Fin Hudson, Aiden Feners, and Noah AJC.
On Thursday 9th October, we shake things up once again with four new names: melodic rock ’n’ roll outfit The Mojitos, soft-rock singer-songwriter Freddie Morrison, Britpop/indie soloist Alfie Hopwood, and rap artist Orton.
We also absolutely love to support great causes. And on World Mental Health Day, Friday 10th October, we’ve teamed up with Starfish Health & Wellbeing in Stockton to host Teesside favourites Dr Baker and Aidan Feners. Alongside the live music, the evening will include talks and discussions on mental health awareness.
Saturday 11th October sees Grindhouse Rock Night take over with something different – the first Gearbox Alternative ’80s Night. Expect classics from Bauhaus, The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, The Cult, Siouxsie, Blondie, The Clash, Killing Joke, Joy Division, and many more icons of the era.
Our NE-Thing Goes nights have proven so popular that they’ll continue pretty much every Thursday in October. The line-up on Thursday 16th October includes multi-genre mash-up band Stingray, doom rockers Brass Eyed Dragons, pop artist Phoebe Elissa, and folk-punk performer Bosko Green.
Other highlights this month include Snide Promotions’ gig with London-based psychedelic/punk/grunge band Healthy Junkies on Saturday 18th October, supported by Snide Remarks and Corduroy Boy. Finally, we close the month with two Halloween specials: Thursday 30th October with The Agency and Machine Music, followed by Friday 31st October featuring Cardiac, Laugh Tracks, The Asatines, and Detonata.
