September brings another jam-packed schedule of gigs to our very own NE Volume Music Bar in the heart of Stockton, spanning everything from pop and folk to metal and punk.
The month kicks off on Thursday 4th with a mixed-genre night featuring the Jayden Tomlinson Band (indie), Stingray (multi-genre mash-up), DarkRoom (rock/metal), and singer-songwriter Willow Bulmer.
On Friday 5th, the volume goes up a notch as young Teesside heavy rock outfit Detonator make their return, with support from rock band Hera and singer-songwriter Phoebe Gallafant – all making their NE Volume debuts.
Saturday 6th September sees renowned UK promoters Prestige Talent bring energetic alt-indie band The Denabys from Doncaster for their first North East headline show, with support from Teesside singer-songwriter Bella.
The variety continues on Thursday 11th with another NE Thing Goes night, featuring indie acts Jim Soler and Aidan Feners, prog/glam-rock duo Rose Bush, and indie soloist Liam Trewick.
On Friday 12th we welcome highly regarded newcomers The Voss, stepping into a headline slot with support from alt-indie band Angel Archives and indie soloists Fin Hudson and Ron Jon.
Then, on Saturday 13th September, we are proud to host The View’s Kyle Falconer for the first time in Stockton. From the anthemic sing-along of ‘Same Jeans’ to his heartfelt solo tracks, Kyle’s sets are bursting with energy, nostalgia, and unforgettable moments. Support comes from Frankie Dobson – the Bishop Auckland singer-songwriter whose creativity reignited after working with Kyle at a songwriting camp in Spain, sparking tracks such as ‘Candy’ and ‘Move to LA’ – and Frazer Lambert, Teesside’s acclaimed alt-folk-soul talent, who channels rich ’70s vibes with thoughtful lyrics and smooth tones inspired by Al Green and Marvin Gaye.
Breaking tradition, a Sunday show takes place on 14th September, as North East promoters Snide Promotions present Swedish vintage punk-rockers The Dead Pollys, with support from high-energy alternative rock ’n’ roll outfit Snide Remarks and classic rock band Mustang.
Other highlights this month include punk promoters JR Promotions’ debut NE Volume event with Crashed Out, Logoz, and Kid Klumsy on Saturday 20th September, and UpTeesTelly’s return on Saturday 27th with Locked In, a free-entry event featuring North East MCs, DJs, and artists including Genre Box, Robson, Luna, Amz, Omar, and more.
