Renowned funk band, Smoove & Turrell, return to their native North East to perform at Pop Recs in Sunderland later this month.
Their signature blend of funk, hip-hop, soul and electronica was created by the band’s working-class lads who shared a passion for northern soul music. Using socially conscious lyrics, they sing about the highs and lows of life and the rich-and-poor divide, all set to moving, tuneful backdrops.
Now, they are back with their ninth album, ‘Red Ellen’, which they will be performing new songs from on Saturday 27th April at Sunderland’s community venue.
