What happens when you take two music-loving Yorkshire brothers and 2 Mancunian musicians? Well, you get The Sherlocks. These lads are a four-piece force to be reckoned with – and it’s doesn’t take a detective to see why.
Over the years, The Sherlocks have gone from strength to strength. From starting out by playing gigs to small audiences in local pubs and clubs to supporting the likes of artists such as Liam Gallagher and the Kaiser Chiefs, to headlining their own tours and selling out venues across the world – they’ve come a long way.
The band have become famed for their indie-pop anthems but have also been labelled as an outfit that are bringing rock ‘n’ roll back to the forefront of audiences’ consciousness.
Like many other bands and artists, The Sherlocks were hit hard by the pandemic which hit pause on the music industry. But the band were determined to not let it get them down and kept their heads down, creating lots of new music to be able to share with fans once the live industry opened back up again.
Since the return of live music, The Sherlocks have hit the ground running, touring all over the UK and playing all manner of venues including the smaller venues that were under threat during lockdown. With the post-lockdown opening up of the live music industry, comes the opening up of The Sherlocks’ calendar, with the band even adding some international gigs to their calendar as well as their tour on their home soil.
On their tour based travels, the band are heading to the North East, playing gigs at both Stockton’s KU and Sunderland’s Independent.
KU will welcome the four-piece on Thursday 21st before Independent play host to the lads the night after, on Friday 22nd October.
Both gigs are guaranteed to include performances that bring the house down as audiences are in for an evening that we have all craved for so long.
The lads will be putting on a show that sees them leave their passion out there on the stage as they get loud and crazy – and fans will do the same – as everyone comes together to celebrate being able to experience music live and in person again.
