Dance City Newcastle’s calendar of events goes from strength to strength and this March sees a visit from the internationally acclaimed Beaver Dam Company showcasing two of their incredible performance pieces, FORWARD and Into Outside.
The Beaver Dam Company is led by artistic director and choreographer, Edouard Hue. Based in France and Switzerland, this company represents the cutting edge of contemporary dance.
Their work has demonstrated a concentrated form of dance that maximises the use of the human body to deliver mood and emotion through a complex and fluid style lending from many traditional sources.
FORWARD is a work that represents the human struggle to develop and evolve whilst being influenced and driven by conflicting emotions.
Into Outside explores the relationships between individuals and groups within society and how the participation in those groups affects the behaviours and experience of each person. The performance is a stunning and thought-provoking view of the modern world.
This is a unique opportunity for lovers of the arts to experience a world-class performance of choreography so good it has been recreated far and wide from Montreal to Singapore.
