Skydiver is a ‘multisensory dance experience’ aimed at families with children aged 3-5.
Audiences will ‘soar through fluffy clouds where flocks of birds and butterflies flutter’ and explore a ‘dream-like world’. The show uses the power of movement, sound and jaw-dropping visuals to bring funny and fascinating characters to life.
Director, dance artist and dramaturg Xenia Aidonopoulou has a reputation for producing ‘visually compelling’ dance-theatre shows. A production with her at the helm promises to be imaginative and gripping and will ‘capture even the youngest audience members’.
Aidonopoulou aims to challenge ‘the boundaries between dance and theatre’ and produce narratives that ‘reflect the human condition’. She has worked with the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, National Theatre for Greece, Athens International Dance Festival and many other companies.
Catch the magical journey of Skydiver on Saturday 2nd November at Newcastle’s Dance City.
Tickets, priced at £10.50 in advance, are available at dancecity.co.uk.
