On Thursday 28th April, Dance City will welcome esteemed theatre company, The Mischief Company, to their Newcastle venue to showcase two showings of their thought-provoking new show, The Girl With The Tale.
Audiences can expect to be delighted with an inspired new take on Hans Christian Anderson’s The Little Mermaid as they explore the story through physical theatrical work and look at identity, diversity, relationships and acceptance.
The Mischief Company have worked in collaboration with Douglas Thorpe and David Lloyd to bring this story to life – and the finished production is breathtaking, to say the least.
This new project was created by a young company of dancers as they emerge into the profession, with the show seeing a group of 11 talented up-and-coming performers in the arts industry working together to create a piece that is truly moving.
