Written by Hannah Lavery, ‘Protest’ features the interwoven stories of girls Alice, Jade and Chloe who face challenges and barriers to how they have chosen to live their lives, and injustices against their heritage.
Jade has to endure one-sided history classes at school that breed racism against her from her peers. To stand up against what is wrong, she sets out to discover more about her ancestors and learn in her own way.
Alice, the best runner in the school, struggles to prove her worth against everyone else, even though she can outrun them all every day of the week.
Chloe becomes hell-bent on making changes to her hometown when litter in her local forest puts into perspective the environmental crisis facing the world.
Harmony Rose-Bremner plays Jade, Kirsty MacLaren plays Alice and Amy Murphy plays Chloe. Together, the girls use the power of friendship and activism to stand up for what is right.
