The award-winning dance theatre company balletLORENT has been providing memorable artistic productions since 1993. The company’s desire and curiosity to explore dance has been the foundation for their reputation and drive to explore how many different ways they can create and communicate.
‘The Lost Happy Endings’ is an original story by Carol Ann Duffy that has been gracefully created, produced and brought to life by balletLORENT.
The story is based deep in the forest where Jub, a magical girl with six fingers on each hand, lives. She has the responsibility of guarding the happy endings of all stories and fairytales until one dreadful day a wicked witch comes from another world and steals the stories. Now, when you are about to go to bed there are no stories and no happy endings.
Can you imagine a world with no happy endings? Imagine Cinderella’s foot being too big for the glass slipper and Little Red Riding Hood being gobbled up by the wolf. It is up to Jub to step in and fix things so that we can dream again.
This show promises to be full of energy, emotion and visual magic to bring the whole family entertainment and enjoyment that is memorable.
‘The Lost Happy Endings’ will have you amazed at how they bring the story to life through a mixture of the arts and will have you gasping at the beauty created in front of you.
‘The Lost Happy Endings’ runs at Northern Stage in Newcastle on Halloween. Tickets, priced from £10.00, are available from northernstage.co.uk.
