After months of working behind the scenes, we are overjoyed to be able to announce that the NE Volume Music Bar, located on Yarm Lane in Stockton-on-Tees, is finally open.
Originally planned to open on Friday 3rd April, a certain coronavirus pandemic forced us to change our plans somewhat.
And although the venue will not host live music at the moment, due to government guidance, we plan to run live music nights and comedy/art events as soon as it is safe to do so.
Teaming up with my brother, Adam, we had two months of live music nights all planned but, of course, the lockdown came and we had to cancel everything. We’re hoping to host two live music nights every week and have plans to run open mic nights, comedy evenings and host art exhibitions and more.
We also want to make sure that the sound is as good as it can possibly be, so there will be an experienced in-house sound engineer at every event – and we have also installed a brand new PA system.

To support artists right here in the North East as much as we possibly can, the venue is also adorned with music-related artwork and photography by North East artists and photographers.
Plans have also been put in place to turn the backroom into a social/chill-out/film room that’s perfect for those wanting to kick back and relax.
NE Volume Music Bar also has a license to play recorded music and the venue will play music from North East artists, as well as up-and-coming bands and artists/classic bands, on a daily basis.
Proud to be a welcome addition to the musical map in Stockton-on-Tees, which is already made up of a number of fantastic venues such as KU Bar, ARC, The Georgian Theatre, The Green Room and the new Globe, the NE Volume Music Bar is the ideal place for music, arts and beer lovers.
So, come on down to the NE Volume Music Bar and see how we’re supporting local musicians and creatives right here in the North East.
