It’s the most wonderful time of the year! While things tend to slow down a little over the festive period here at NE Volume Music Bar in Stockton we still have twelve incredible gigs lined up for December, with more to be announced soon.
We kick things off with our renowned NE Thing Goes cross-genre nights on Wednesday 4th December, featuring indie outfit The Aniseed Lounge, singer-songwriters Silly Definition and Em & Ross, along with indie-rock band Cascara as openers.
On Thursday 5th December, and as featured in our Top 10 Artists to See Live in 2025 feature (check the middle pages), Darlington singer-songwriter Robyn Errico headlines for the first time, supported by blues-rockers Midnight Library and singer-songwriters Zararuth and Jade Mia Broadhead (of Dinky Bossetti).
Then, on Friday 6th December, we crank up the volume with a heavy-hitting show, welcoming back Teesside metal band Sulphide, with support from alt-rockers Extrascene and newcomers Sock In It.
On Saturday 7th December, thanks to the fantastic Mal Lythe at T T Teesside Blog, we’re hosting ‘A T T Teesside Christmas Do’ featuring singer-songwriters Charlotte Grayson, Dale Husband, and Stock Image. Expect a cosy, intimate, seated gig perfect for the festive season.
On Thursday 12th December, get ready for high-energy indie as Deer Shed return to the stage, with support from pop-rap artist SHDE, indie newcomers Maize, and soloist Sam Mitchell.
The following day, Friday 13th December, we’re hosting a special festive event: ‘A Teesside Christmas by Candlelight’. The event will feature original songs by Teesside artists Frazer Lambert, Parissa Zarifi, and Chris Groom – a beautiful, intimate experience that’s perfect for the season.
On Saturday 14th December, Lee Angel from Brass Eyed Dragons has curated an unmissable line-up featuring his doom rock band, plus prog-rockers Manfrog, and punk-rockers The Inklings.
On Wednesday 18th December, we’re wrapping up our NE Thing Goes series for the year with a festive special, featuring metal outfit Dead By July, Britpop band The Waisters, indie singer-songwriter Ron Jon, and punk band Million Years.
A day later, Thursday 19th December, Pluto return after a long hiatus. The popular Hartlepool-based alt-indie band are back with fresh tracks and new members, so don’t miss it.
Other highlights this month include a special Christmas gig on Saturday 21st December featuring alt-indie bands The Ransoms and The Royals, plus our epic annual New Year’s Eve Extravaganza featuring Sulphide and SHDE, with more acts to be announced.
