We’re proud to be the only independent venue on Teesside hosting four gigs a week, every week, with a focus on supporting local and up-and-coming acts from across the UK.
And once again, we have a whole host of gigs lined up for you in March, across a wide range of genres.
First up, on Friday 1st March, we host young alt-indie outfits Seventh Heaven, The Reviverz and Exit. And just a day later, we welcome three local hardcore/metal outfits, in Done In, Ovulating Cadaver and Graviter, with DJ Lonely Goat spinning the metal decks right through until 2am.
Wednesday 6th March sees the return of our ever-popular NE Thing Goes cross-genres night, with this night featuring Uglyheads (hip-hop-infused jazz), Diago (pop), Majuba (alt-indie) and Cal Murphy (folk-rock).
And we mix indie-rock with jazz once again on Thursday 7th March as NE Volume favourites The Lunaires return to headline, with support from Stockton-based newcomers Brack and Durham’s The Keemons, who will also be making their NE Volume debut.
On Friday 8th March, we celebrate International Women’s Day by putting the focus on women in music, with this fascinating line-up including indie-pop band The Hyperbolics, alt outfit Georgia Smith Band and soloists Lucy Pottinger and Loren Heat.
We crank the volume up to a thousand on Saturday 9th March as we welcome back psychobilly rock band The Hangmen, with support from heavy proto-metal outfit Mother and synth-rock four-piece, Leatherette.
And on Wednesday 13th March, we host our second NE Thing Goes cross-genres night of the month, with this line-up including Baby Sinclair (alt-rock), Ellie Devine (pop-rock) and Lucy Why (folk).
Thursday 14th March sees the return of rock outfit Redshift, with three bands making their NE Volume debut this time around including alt-rock outfit Pilots, indie/punk four-piece Fast Blood and new rock band, Dead by July.
Other notable gigs this month include Tuppenny Bunters, Nervous Twitch and Mercedes, on Friday 15th March, brought to you via Big Figure Promotions, our first-ever Gig Swap event on Friday 22nd March featuring Beatnik, Seventh Heaven and Cafe Rouge (the same line-up will play The Globe, Newcastle on Friday 22nd March) and, of course, the return of Stockton Calling on Saturday 30th March.
