As the chilly autumn nights settle in, there’s no better way to keep warm than by enjoying a lively gig at a local music venue. And this October, our own NE Volume Music Bar in Stockton has an exciting line-up of performances to keep you entertained.
We kick off the month on Wednesday 2nd October with our popular NE-Thing Goes cross-genres night, featuring indie-folk artist Colby Jackson, acoustic duo Matthew & Nick, and blues-rock/folk soloist, Jake Holt.
And on Thursday 3rd October, ska fans, this one is for you as we host an evening with Ska-Boom! UK. The band have hired out the venue as they look to put on their own upbeat hi-octane ska show that incorporates ska classics from their icons, including The Specials, Bad Manners, Madness, The Selecter, Toots & the Maytals, The Jam, Dexys Midnight Runners, The Beat and many more.
And the first Friday of the month features an indie-rock special with local outfits The Casbahs, Revolve and JW Darwin, with alt-grunge/indie band The Wednesday Flowers, new indie band Deer Shed and ‘Teesside synth hero’ Stock Image rounding off our first week in October.
Join us for another electrifying cross-genres night on Wednesday 9th October, where pop-rap meets alt-indie, with performances from SHDE, Cham Social, Ron Jon, and KNE.
After a successful debut last month, indie outfit Arachnamonkus returns to headline on Thursday 10th October, supported by pop-punk duo, Will We Talk?, and Newcastle alt-rock band, WHTS TMRW.
We’re committed to supporting young, up-and-coming grassroots artists here at NE Volume and we do just that on both Friday 11th and Saturday 12th October as we host alt-indie outfits Precinct, The Royals, Rose Malus and Primaveras (11th), before Rola Cola, Discounted, The Clocks and Sam Mitchell are put in the spotlight (12th).
Other highlights this month include the return of alt-rock band Offski on Thursday 17th October, supported by pop-punk artist Burnouts and doom rock band Brass Eyed Dragons. Then, on Friday 18th October, we welcome folk-punk band Headsticks, singer-songwriter Jess Silk, and punk/folk duo Cherry & Peesh for a high-profile gig, thanks to Big Figure Promotions.
We’ll close out the month with a Halloween special on Thursday 31st October featuring Teesside metal outfit Chieftain, with more bands to be announced.
